Saint-Leo-University-Online-DegreeSupply and demand.

It may sound like a chapter from your high school economics textbook, but in today’s job market, supply and demand is about talent deficits – a lack of qualified people to fill available jobs.

In other words, it’s about opportunity.

And the possible next step in your career.

According to a new list compiled by employment powerhouse CareerBuilder, the future is bright – particularly for business and computer information professionals with college degrees.

“Job creation is gaining ground and job seekers are gaining leverage,” says Matt Ferguson, CareerBuilder CEO.

Ferguson says that for nearly 70 occupations in the United States, the rate at which workers are being hired isn’t keeping up with the frequency and volume of open positions being advertised. The CareerBuilder list features occupations for which the number of jobs companies post each month significantly outpaces the number of people they’re able to hire.

In other words, the jobs where companies are hungry for talent.
